手彫りのニット模様を施した陶器カップ

愛知県瀬戸市で陶磁器の型製造を本業とする、原型職人と共同開発した商品です。

陶器の原形に細やかに施された手彫りの技術を生かし、温かみを感じるニット柄を製作しました。
素材感が伝わる質感になるよう、あえて外側には釉薬をかけず、しっとりと手に馴染むように仕上げています。 陶磁器では表現するのが難しいと言われていた異素材の質感を、原型職人だからこそできる技で見事に表現しています。

This product was jointly developed with a master model craftsman based in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, whose primary expertise lies in creating ceramic molds.

By skillfully applying delicate hand-carving techniques to the ceramic prototype, we created a warm, knit-like pattern with a handcrafted feel.
To preserve a texture that highlights the natural quality of the material, the exterior is intentionally left unglazed, allowing it to feel smooth and comfortable in the hand.

The craftsman’s exceptional techniques bring to life the texture of a different material, something long considered difficult to achieve with ceramics, resulting in a beautifully expressive finish that only a master model maker could accomplish.
