シャングリ・ラ 東京は 2009 年 3 月 2 日に開業し、2024 年に 15 周年を迎えます。約 50 年前、初めてのシャングリ・ラ ホテルがオープンしたシンガポールにちなんだ、シンガポールのローカルスイーツであるパンダンケーキと日本のショートケーキとを融合させたケーキを誕生させました。アジアンホスピタリティーで多くのお客様をお迎えしてきたアジア発のホテルグループであるシャングリ・ラを、このケーキを通じて幅広く知ってもらいたいというペストリーシェフが思いを込め、日本人の口に合う味にアレンジしました。

Shangri-La Tokyo opened on March 2, 2009 and will celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2024. In honor of Singapore, where the first Shangri-La Hotel opened about 50 years ago, we created a cake that is a fusion of Singapore's local sweet pandan cake and Japanese shortcake. The pastry chef wanted to spread the word about Shangri-La, a hotel group from Asia that has welcomed many guests with its Asian hospitality, through this cake, and arranged the cake to suit the Japanese palate.
